In addition to preparing for the 2018 U.S. Department of State Global Sports Mentoring Program that focuses on advancing disability rights worldwide through sports, we’ve been busy here at the Center for Sport, Peace, and Society celebrating Women’s History Month. Our directors, Dr. Sarah Hillyer and Dr. Ashleigh Huffman, have recently been involved with the Women in the World Los Angeles Salon, the SXSW conference, and the return of the Olympic champion U.S. Women’s National Hockey Team.

CSPS Celebrates Women’s Achievements Nationally and Globally!
Over the past two months, the center’s directors have been involved with a Women in the World Salon in Los Angeles, the South by Southwest Festival, and welcomed the gold-medal winning U.S. Olympic women’s hockey team back to the United States.
