🇬🇧️In Iran, 35 women football fans were arrested in April for expressing their desire to enter Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on a derby night. Yet Iranian women made the trip to Russia to attend the FIFA World Cup. On Friday 15 June they were in the stands of the St Petersburg stadium to support their team against Morocco.
An unprecedented experience for them because, in their country, they are not allowed to enter a stadium, it was the first time that they attended a match in a stadium for the majority.

🇨🇵️En Iran, 35 femmes fans de ballon rond ont été arrêtées, au mois d’avril, pour avoir manifesté leur envie d’entrer dans le stade Azadi de Téhéran, un soir de derby. Pourtant des Iraniennes ont fait le voyage jusqu’en Russie pour assister à la Coupe Du Monde 2018 En Russie. Ce vendredi 15 juin elles étaient dans les tribunes du stade de Saint-Pétersbourg pour supporter leur équipe face au Maroc.
Un expérience inédite pour elles, car, dans leur pays, elles ne sont pas autorisées à entrer dans un stade, c’était la première fois qu’elles assistaient à un match dans un stade pour la plupart.
