ESPN Built to Play Mumbai

On the eve of the ICC Cricket World Cup, more than 300 community residents, youth and ESPN employees celebrated a new Built to Play sports space in Dharavi, Mumbai – the second space built in India and the ninth globally. Dharavi is the largest slum in Asia with more than one million residents. Former cricketers Ajit Agarkar, Murali Kartik and Daren Ganga joined ESPN India’s Raunak Kapoor, RJ Adaa, Ramesh Kumar, Vice President, ESPN India and South Asia and Kevin Martinez, Vice President, ESPN Corporate Citizenship, to dedicate the court. Refurbished by community volunteers and employees in partnership with sport for development organizations, love.fútbol and Magic Bus, youth will have a space to play and learn with more than 1,500 participating in life skills programming.
