The Empower class of 2019 has wasted NO time getting to work on their Action Plans! 🤜🏻💥🤛🏻 The latest news comes to us from Albania 🇦🇱 where @deni_bishqemi implemented a panel discussion to the @albanian_basketball_federation basketball training event “Her World Her Rules.” 🏀
This addition to their training camp provided 80 young women and girls the ability to hear from national women’s team players and international coaches about the power of sport and the potential to use their experiences from basketball throughout their life! 🎤 Denisa also helped provide them with a safe space to discuss the challenges facing women and girls in sports. ⛹️♀️ Absolutely incredible, Denisa! We are so proud of you! Denisa was mentored by @jenridgeway7 at the @minnesotalynx @timberwolves last fall during the U.S. Department of State & espnW Global Sports Mentoring Program 🐺 (Special thanks to our favorite photographer, Jaron Johns for helping cover the event!)
