“We had a few participants who had stepped out of their homes for the very first time after their injuries.” Action Plan 📑 ☑️ Changing the world 🌍 ✅

Exciting news coming from India 🇮🇳 as 2018 U.S. Department of State Global Sports Mentoring Program S4C alumni @justinjesudas fulfilled his action plan this month!!! “Three days of training with a finale on February 16th! We trained them for rifle shooting 🎯, wheelchair racing ♿, shotput, discus 🥏, javelin and club throws, and distributed over 125 medals! 🥇🥈🥉 We also had Kathleen Hosie, Information Officer from @usconsulatechennai with us on the final day of Thiramai 2020. 🙌🏻 Our final count went up to 99 participants (we expected only around 50 😱), trying sports for the very first time.
What pleasantly surprised all of us was the number of female participants. We had 34 and that’s huge for an event like this. We want to now increase that ratio in the coming years.” 💪🏻🤩
