February is the most important month at CAC. Our Instruct and Impact teams are joining forces to deliver our #SAFE Initiative that supports organizations and leaders to ensure they are doing everything they can to safeguard the children in their programs and communities.
#CACSAFE is much more than having a child protection policy. Together with each partner our teams will bring each organizations policies to life at 5 levels:
1. Child SAFE,
2. Coach SAFE,
3. Organization SAFE,
4. Community SAFE
5. Social Media SAFE.
Firstly, our Impact and Instruct teams will work together with our partners reviewing their most up to date Child Safeguarding Policies. Then together we create a plan to train all program staff (coaches, youth leaders, administrators, directors etc.) in Safeguarding education.
#SAFE to say that our Impact & Instruct teams have a giant task ahead.
