International Women’s Day is upon us, and here @coachesacrosscontinents , it’s a day we get very excited about.
#TeamImpact leader Nora will appear as an expert panelist for:
“A Conversation About Sport For Social Impact: Girls Voices”
The event is being hosted by @openfield_creativelab & World Affair Council of Pittsburgh in honor of International Women’s Day 2021.
This timely discussion will feature panelists from around the world sharing their perspectives on the benefits to learning leadership skills through sport for girls in the Global South, specifically in Cameroon, Africa.
Over the course of an hour, participants will hear about efforts to train coaches to create space for girls’ voice, why coaching the ‘whole player’ is essential for girls in sport, and how leadership skills learned on the field are essential to careers in the public sector.
