Catherine ‘Coach Mina’ Kabanyana, Senior Program Coordinator of @swbuganda shared with us how their sports program helps girls identify their strengths and gives them opportunities like being assistant coaches to stand out and show their full potential.

Soccer Without Borders Uganda use trauma-informed football practices to serve vulnerable refugee girls, teaching them literacy and life skills and advancing #genderequity and #empowerment. They are winners of the 2020 #GenderEquality Collective Impact Award supported by @comicrelief and BT Sport. Together with three other organisations across east and Southern Africa they are collectively driving sustainable social impact on gender equity through sport.

Happy #IWD2021!
